NORCROSS PREDS TRAVEL HOCKEY

 

 

 

Each season we assess the level of our top players and decide whether creating a "Travel Team" would make sense. Travel Teams are competitive teams that primarily play other travel teams from around the state and sometimes out of state too. Your coaches will have all the information you need about tryout dates, practice times, etc. Here are some general details about the PREDS Travel Program to consider:
  • At NRH we prioritize our house players. Our travel team is not a group of "imported ringers" who don't play in the house league. That said, we may occasionally bring in outside players if necessary. 
  • The majority of the tournaments we play are in the greater Atlanta area but we have traveled out of state before (rarely and always driving, not flying!). 
  • We register for tournaments one at a time so you have the option to participate in some and not in others. There is an additional cost to play for the PREDS.
  • We try to keep the cost as close to $65 / player per tournament but that depends heavily on the number of players we have playing. 
  • PREDS players are required to purchase a PREDS TRAVEL JERSEY (available in the online store). 
  • PREDS players will be expected to attend a TRAVEL PRACTICE once a week after they commit to playing in an upcoming tournament. 
  • The practices will provide a higher level of intensity and coaching for players who are motivated to work hard and compete!
  • Once you have decided to to participate in the travel program you will enroll your player in the "Norcross PREDS Travel Hockey" program. This is to get you 'into the system' - you will receive communications about practice times, tryouts, upcoming tournaments, etc.
