The success of Norcross Roller Hockey is entirely dependent on Volunteers - that means YOU!!!

How do you volunteer?

  • First, you can Contact Us and ask!
  • Or, you can stop by the rink during the week in the evenings or Saturday morning and find any one of the NRH Committee members!
  • Finally, you can Sign-Up for a program on the website, select Volunteer, and check out (for $0) to add yourself to our system.
  • Better yet... do all three!

What Positions are available?

  • Our Norcross Roller Hockey Committee was formed by the Peachtree Booster Club. A PBC Board position is an annually-elected office.
  • NRH Committee is as-assigned by the PBC Board. Many of these volunteers are providing their professional talents to NRH, such as marketing, communications and printing.
  • Other non-hockey related positions are concessions, special events, grill masters, pamphlet distributors and Sponsor Sales.

Finally, we have hockey positions available: coach, assistant coach, bench coach, scorekeepers, & referees. What's the difference?

  • Coaches - Organize their team, run weekly practices on the rink, coach weekly games.
  • Assistant Coaches - Help the coach on the rink. (if you travel sometimes for work, but want to be involved, this is a good spot for you!)
  • Bench Coach - No hockey knowledge required! Can you fix a shin pad, or adjust a chin strap? Do you know how to use tape and squeeze a water bottle?
  • Scorekeepers - Sit in between - but not in - the Penalty Boxes and run the scoreboard and write down the goals on a sheet of paper. Many kids do this. It's elementary!
  • Concession Stand - Help out by setting up and helping to operate the concession stand where we provide food and drinks to our hockey family.
  • Referees - Our only paid position. Contact Us if you are interested!

All PBC Board, NRH Committee Members and Volunteers undergo a Background Check by Protect Youth Sports.

Do I need to have prior board or hockey experience to help?

Absolutely not! Many of the volunteers started with no hockey experience! All we ask is that you want to help grow an organization dedicated to FUN!
